Janice Nissen reached out to me after seeing my posts about Stanky & Cece Adventures on LinkedIn. She and I have been working together for a little over a year. Lizbeth, the Little Lost Golf Ball will be released in early Fall.
Not only have I learned even more about golf, but we’ve had a lot of fun working with illustrator James Koenig, founder of Freelance Fridge, who also illustrated the Stanky & Cece Adventure Series.
Lizbeth, the Little Lost Golf Ball…
is a heartwarming picture book for children ages 3–8. Lizbeth, a curious pink golf ball, is chosen by junior golfer JoJo and embarks on her first adventure, meeting quirky friends like Putter Pete, Frida Flag, and Claude Cup. When she accidentally lands in a pond, Lizbeth feels lost—until she meets Teddy and his playful friend Genji Gator. 
With their support, Lizbeth learns that hope, perseverance, and friendship can help her find her way home.
This delightful story introduces kids to golf while sharing gentle humor, whimsical characters, and valuable lessons about resilience and kindness.

As a first-time author, I relied heavily on Kathy Sparrow, whom I connected with on LinkedIn. I was immediately intrigued when I saw her title—literary midwife.
